Why Corporate Teams Book Events On Pine Near the Convention Center
If your team has ever tried to plan a client dinner or a brand activation while juggling flights, hotel blocks, and a convention schedule, you already know the challenge. Corporate events built around convention travel need a space that is close, private, and ready to work the moment you walk in. That is exactly what we built at Events On Pine in downtown Long Beach.
Events On Pine in downtown Long Beach sits two blocks from the Long Beach Convention Center, offering companies exclusive private use of up to 4,000 square feet across three corporate packages: the Executive Exchange for meetings, the Cultivation Collective for networking events, and the Catalyst Experience for multi-day retreats. Bookings can include in-house furniture, WiFi, catering facilities, and AV equipment, with an open vendor policy requiring approval and proper certifications, RBS-certified bar service, and validated or nearby paid parking for guests.
Events On Pine is approximately two blocks from the Long Beach Convention Center, with several major downtown hotels nearby, including Hyatt Regency Long Beach and Marriott Long Beach Downtown. For companies flying in for a convention, that proximity matters. You are not shuttling guests across town after a long day of sessions. You are walking them over for dinner, a reception, or a networking mixer, then sending them back to their rooms in minutes.
A Private Space in the Middle of Downtown
Events On Pine offers exclusive use of the venue for every booking. When your team is here, no other event is happening around you. There are no unrelated guests or other events taking place in the venue during your booking, giving your team a more private setting for the event. It is your space for the duration of your event.
The venue sits on the third floor with city views, natural light, and greenery, giving it an urban feel that stands apart from the beach clubs and traditional ballrooms scattered across Southern California. The main space offers up to 4,000 square feet, accommodating 150 seated guests or 200 standing, so whether you are hosting a seated dinner or a mixer with passed appetizers, the room adjusts to fit.
Packages Built Around How Companies Actually Meet
We designed three corporate packages around the way business actually happens. The Executive Exchange is built for executive meetings, retreats, and planning sessions, with up to eight hours available for the event. The Cultivation Collective supports networking events, mixers, and client appreciation gatherings where the goal is conversation, not a formal program. The Catalyst Experience has grown into a multi-day package for leadership retreats, brand-culture experiences, and team off-sites, giving companies a full-venue environment for presentations, breakout sessions, meals, networking, and after-hours gatherings across two or more days.
Each package can be customized further with add-ons like branded signage, a step and repeat or media wall, sponsor activation stations, professional photography, live entertainment, and facilitated workshop support. If your event needs transportation or valet coordination, we can help arrange that too.
What Comes With Your Booking
Depending on the package and enhancements you select, corporate events can make use of features such as in-house furniture, WiFi, a professional culinary suite, private offices, dinnerware and tableware, coffee service, and Audio/Visual Equipment. Breakfast, luncheon, dinner, and hosted bar options are also available for qualifying events. Confirm the exact inclusions with our team when requesting your proposal.
One detail we hear about often is the bar itself. The counters have a white marble-look finish, and the floors carry a gray wood-look tone that photographs well for brand content and event recaps.
Logistics That Keep Things Running
If your team wants to bring in outside caterers, photographers, or entertainment, we operate as an open venue. Outside vendors must be approved by Events On Pine before the event and must meet the venue's insurance and certification requirements. Caterers need a California Food Safety Certification, and any bartender serving alcohol must be California RBS certified and selected from our preferred vendor list.
Alcohol service must stop one hour before your event ends, and self-serve alcohol stations are not allowed unless they are monitored by certified personnel. Security staff is required for any event serving alcohol. The building is wheelchair accessible with elevator access and accessible restrooms, and Validated parking is available for guests, although fees may apply. Additional paid parking is available within walking distance.
We are Tre and Jason Watson, and we run Events On Pine as a husband and wife team. As Long Beach residents ourselves, we wanted to create a venue that reflects Long Beach's vibrant, creative, and urban character.
Conclusion
Convention travel is unpredictable enough without adding a venue search on top of it. When your company needs a private, walkable space near the Long Beach Convention Center, we would like to be the first call you make. Bring us your event date, your guest count, and what you are hoping to accomplish, and we will help you figure out the right package.
